With so many new people visiting Clay’s Park Resort this year, and folks camping for the first time ever, we thought we’d answer some common questions! So if you’re a camping novice or long time Clay’s Park enthusiast, we’ve got answers!
Why should I take my family camping rather than buy a day pass?
Staying at Clay’s Park opens up a whole new set of activities that go beyond what a day at the water park can provide! Join us for bingo every Friday night or bust a move at our family DJ dance parties every Saturday night. Don’t forget your racket, we’ve got a tennis and pickleball court as well. Once you factor in the cost of a day pass into your nightly rate, you’ll see that camping is the best bang for your buck! Plus, what’s better than having a place to crash like a cabin or your RV site after a busy day on the water?
Is the water park included in my stay?
Absolutely! Every guest on your reservation will receive a wristband, which is your ticket to fun throughout the entirety of your stay! Zip down our water slides, soar above the water on our zipline, and climb the day away on our inflatables. Don’t forget to stop by our upgraded mini-golf as well, there’s no additional fee to play. You’ll also get to stay and play the same day you check-out, so make sure to get one last day of fun in before you say goodbye!
What should I take with me?
If you’re staying in one of our cabins, make sure to pack bed sheets and bathroom linens. You’ll also get to enjoy your own charcoal grill, so pack up your grilling tools and favorite cookout ingredients! If you’re staying in a rustic cabin, glamping tent, or primitive site, don’t forget to bring a cooler with ice! You can also stock-up on ice and other essentials at our Country Store!
Other items to bring:
-Card & board games
-Umbrellas in case it rains
-Bug spray & sunscreen
-Marshmallow roasters & s’more ingredients
Which season is best for camping?
Our most popular time of the year is summer when our water park is open. Spring camping is great for families who want to reconnect with nature and enjoy a quieter, less crowded park! During the fall, we have lots of fun themed weekends with activities like trick-or-treating, hayrides and the Yankee Peddler Festival & Open Air Market! Tried and true campers know that there is something truly special about fall camping and watching the seasons change, plus you can take advantage of our non-peak deals!
What is there to do in the area?
While we’ve got tons of fun inside the park, there’s also a lot to explore in the area! Go window shopping or take a ride on an authentic canal boat ride in Historic Canal Fulton, hunt for unique antiques in the neighboring Amish country, or visit the Pro-Football Hall of Fame just 20 minutes away! See all of our nearby attractions on our Places to Go page!
